Oma Gisi’s German Bakery began from a simple desire: to bring the flavors of our German heritage to the community we fell in love with. After moving to Kinmundy, Illinois, in 2001, we knew this was home—but we missed the hearty breads and traditional desserts of Germany.
A taste of tradition
In 2009, we opened our bakery to share those beloved recipes. Using only premium organic whole wheat flour, whole grains, and the freshest ingredients, we craft exceptional breads, pretzels, rolls, pastries, and cakes inspired by generations of German baking.
